Crab Fondue

Seafood is the best and every chance I get I try to incorporate seafood into whatever I’m making in the kitchen that day! Well, if you recall last month I made a copycat recipe for Pappadeaux Seafood Fondeaux and I had some of the crab meat left over and this is what happened next…I created this crab fondue! It was very simple to make and I kept adding ingredients to it until I got the right taste. This crab fondue is terrific and I hope you like it!

Crab Fondue:

Ingredients:

8 ounces of Crab Meat

2 cups of Cheddar Cheese

2 tsp of Old Bay Seasoning

1 1/2 tsp of Worcestershire Sauce

1/2 cup of Heavy Cream

1/2 cup of White Wine

2 Tbsp of Cornstarch

Instructions:

In a medium saucepan combine your heavy cream and white wine, over medium heat you want to cook them until they are warm. (About 2-3 mins) Next you want to slowly start adding in your cheddar cheese to the cream wine mixture. After all your cheddar cheese is added, go ahead and slowly start adding in your crab meat. Once the cheese and crab are mixed well, add in your worcestershire sauce and old bay seasoning. Now to thicken up your fondue you will add in your cornstarch a little at a time. Depending on the consistency you might not need to add the whole 2 Tbsp of cornstarch. When all of the ingredients are mixed together you will heat until the cheese is creamy and smooth. Then serve the fondue with some yummy bread and of course…..ENJOY!! : )
