Thanksgiving Brownies

We are doing holiday recipes this month and I wanted to do a recipe for Thanksgiving. I was racking my brain on what to do and thought how cool would it be to do a brownie recipe, shaped like a pumpkin, covered in M&M’s! You know who doesn’t love M&M’s? I know my kids loved them, especially helping me pick out all the orange and green ones to use in this recipe! Oh yeah, they were helping alright by shoveling handfuls of M&M’s in their little mouths!

After making this recipe, I was very pleased of how it came out! I think it would be a perfect recipe to make for your Thanksgiving dessert or just one weekend to celebrate the Fall season! I hope you enjoy the brownies either way!

Thanksgiving Brownies

Instructions:

Preheat your over to 350˚. Melt your butter in a small bowl, then add it to your mixing bowl. Next add in the sugar and eggs and mix them with your mixer for about 4 minutes. You want to add in your vanilla, cocoa, baking powder and salt to your egg mixture and mix for 2 minutes. Then slowly add in your flour to the mixture, mix until smooth. You want to grease a baking pan and then pour the mixture in. Pop the brownie mixture in the oven for about 20 minutes. Let them cool, you can put them in the freezer if you want them to cool faster. Next take a knife and cut out a pumpkin in the brownies. After you have the pumpkin shape cut out you will want to start adding your M&M’s to it. Serve the brownies to your family and….Enjoy!! : )
