Sweet Egg Pie

Ummm, what did you say your recipe was called? Well, I made this recipe and it didn’t turn out right but it was very good so my husband told me you should call it sweet egg pie! I thought about it and after my family ate the whole thing, I said yep that is a perfect name for it. I had every intention to make a buttermilk pie, but I accidentally did a couple of things wrong…hey it happens and well my mistakes turned into a wonderful surprise! Sweet egg pie might sound a little gross and most of you probably will not even attempt to make it, but if you do I know you will enjoy it!

A wonderful new pie recipe, like no other! :)

Sweet Egg Pie

Ingredients:

5 Eggs

5 Tbsp of Butter (softened)

1 1/4 cup of Sugar

2 1/2 tsp of Vanilla Extract

1/2 tsp of Salt

1 Tbsp of Cornstarch

1/4 tsp of Nutmeg

1 1/2 cups of Buttermilk

1/4 cup of Heavy cream

1 9inch Pie Shell

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 300˚. Mix together your eggs, butter and sugar. You want to mix them for about 5-7 minutes, next add in your vanilla extract, salt, cornstarch and nutmeg. Then add in your buttermilk, cream and mix thoroughly. Take your mixture and pour all of it into your pie shell. Place in the oven for about 1 hour, make sure the pie is firm in the middle. Take it out and….Enjoy!! : )
