Pecanless Pie

Pecan pie is my husband’s favorite pie, however he can not have pecans because of his Crohn’s disease. He will sit there and try his best to dig out all of the pecans, so he can have just a little bit. So, I thought that I would surprise him this week by making him a pecanless pie. I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, but it turned out great! He was absolutely thrilled when I finally told him the kind of pie I was making! It just warmed my heart to know he could enjoy his favorite pie, without having to pick out the pecans!

Then take your mixture and pour it into your pie crust. Now pop the pie in the oven and bake for 1 hour. Take it out and let it cool for about 1 hour or more and then….Enjoy!! : )
