My mini me loves to cook, it seems like every time she starts to cook something it always has lemon in it. Since I was making lemon bars I decided to let her help me do most of this recipe! She had a blast helping me and was so proud of her lemon bars! It is such an easy recipe to make that is super yummy! By the way the reason I chose lemon bars as a holiday recipe is because as a kid I can always remember eating them around the holidays! I hope you enjoy them as much as we did!
Lemon Bars
Ingredients:
2 cups of Flour
3/4 cup of Powdered Sugar
3/4 cup of Butter (melted)
5 Eggs
1 1/2 cups of Sugar
1 tsp of Cream of Tartar
1/2 tsp of Baking Soda
1/4 cup of Fresh Squeezed Lemon
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350˚. First you want to make your crust, mix together your flour, powdered sugar and butter. Once it is completely mixed you will pat it down in a 13 x 9 baking pan. Then you want to start making your filling. Combine the rest of the ingredients together in your mixer. Then you pour the lemon mixture over your crust. Put the baking pan in the oven for about 30 minutes or until slightly brown. When they are done, let them cool. You can sprinkle them with a small amount of powdered sugar if you would like and be sure to….Enjoy!! : )
