When I was a kid, I loved eating cookie crisp cereal for breakfast. I mean what kid wouldn’t love it, you get to eat cookies and milk for breakfast! Since it is cookie month for our blogger recipe challenge group, I thought that it would be kind of cool to make homemade cookie crisp cereal! I’m so glad I made it, because not only was the mini cookies so adorable to make, but I now have a homemade cereal to feed my kids! I hope you get to make this recipe too and be sure to let me know if you did get to make it!
Homemade Cookie Crisp Cereal
Ingredients:
2 sticks of Butter
1 1/4 cup of Sugar
1 Egg
1/4 tsp of Salt
1 tsp of Vanilla
1 cup of Mini Chocolate Chips
2 cups of Flour
Instructions:
Mix together all of your ingredients except for the mini chocolate chips and flour. Once all of the ingredients is mixed thoroughly, you will slowly add in your flour. When your dough is ready you can mix in your mini chocolate chips. Now take your dough, roll it out on a flat surface, take a Wilton tip I used #5 and use the bottom of it to cut out your mini cookies. This will take a little bit of time to do. Preheat your oven to 350˚. Next place your mini cookies on a greased cookie sheet and place in the oven for 4 minutes. They are so small that they cook really fast! Then take the mini cookies out and let them cool. Once they are cool, add them to a bowl, pour some milk in and voila homemade cookie crisp cereal….Enjoy!! : )
