One thing I love about this recipe is that you can eat these buttery crescent rolls different ways.
1. You could just eat them as soon as they get out of the oven or serve them with a meal.
2. You could slice them open and make a sandwich with them.
3. You could take some of the dough, wrap up a little smokie with it and make pig in the blankets.
No matter how you decide to eat these, you will love them!
Buttery Crescent Rolls
Ingredients:
1 1/2 Tbsp of Yeast
1/2 cup of Water
3/4 cup of Milk
2 Eggs
2/3 cup of Butter
1/4 tsp of Salt
1/2 cup of Sugar
4 1/4 cups of Flour
1/4 cup of Butter (Melted) *For drizzling only
Instructions:
Add in your yeast, water and milk and let it dissolve. Add in the rest of your ingredients except for the 1/4 cup of melted butter to form your dough. Then you want to knead your dough on a flat surface for about 10 minutes. Once kneaded, place the dough in a bowl and cover it with a towel for about 1 hour. After the dough has doubled in size, take your dough flatten it out on a floured surface and cut the dough into wedges. After you cut some wedges out you want to roll them from the wide end to form your crescent roll. Then place them on your greased baking sheet about 1 1/2 inches apart and let them rise for about 20 minutes. Continue to do this until all of your dough is used. Preheat your oven to 350˚. Then place the croissants in the oven for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Once they are done, drizzle the melted butter on top and….Enjoy!! : )
